Graham Crackers!

So I realize that a blog post with Clara updates is long overdue. Unfortunately this is not going to be that post! But here is a cute video of Clara eating graham crackers to tide you over!

Half a Year Old

Our baby girl is not a baby anymore! She is getting so big and smart! Clara turned six months old last week and passed her doctor's appointment with flying colors. She weighs nearly 17 pounds and is just over two feet tall.

Here are some of the things that Clara enjoys:

• Pulling hair
• Grabbing anybody's eye glasses
• Taking baths
• Jumping in her jumperoo

• Trying to crawl 

still not quite sure what to do with her arms! ;)

• Doing push ups

• Smiling at the baby in the mirror
• Eating things (food or otherwise)

• Sitting up

• Smiling and laughing

I love her sleepy good morning smile! 

• Going on walks

• Playing outside

• Just being cute

Backed Into a Corner

Clara's got the whole crawling backwards thing down. Still working on going forward though.

Becoming More Coordinated

I always try to take videos of her doing really cute things, and usually she stops doing them when I turn on the camera. But I caught a few cute things this past week. 

Sometimes I put her binkie on this clip, and she is figuring out that her binkie is at the end of the string. She doesn't quite have the coordination to get it into her mouth yet though. :) 




This is a really short one, but I caught her playing with her toes and I thought it was so cute. I think she found them on accident, because she hasn't really done it since then. 


And this video isn't really about anything... But it's cute. 

News Flash!

Clara learned how to drive... 16 years early! She's so advanced for her age.

Oh, and we bought a new car! New to us anyway. It is a Mitsubishi Outlander. It's not really our dream car, but it worked with our budget, is in great shape, will keep us safe in the snow, and gets us from point A to point B perfectly. We are now a two car family!

Clara's New Ball

Clara is learning how to do all sorts of things, like holding on to things with her hands! She does better with things that are easier to hold on to than a mini basketball, but it sure was fun watching her try anyway! Mostly she was just interested in putting it in her mouth, which is not surprising. Most of her toys are covered in Clara slobber by now, but they don't seem to mind!



Another new skill she has mastered within the last few days is the push-up. She's getting stronger and stronger every day, and I have a feeling she might be an early crawler. Yikes! Better baby-proof our house.

Also, I think she started to miss our midnight parties, because she has started to wake up again in the night. She's been so hungry lately, I feel like she is constantly eating. She must be going through a growth spurt. Speaking of eating, we started to feed her rice cereal at dinner time. She hasn't quite mastered that skill yet, but we're working on it. I think she would like it if she could figure out how to swallow.

Anyway, she's still cuter than ever and keeps me busy and tired and blessed beyond measure. See my last post for a few more cute videos. :-)
